Would You Be Friends With Yourself?

We aren’t taught or encouraged to be with our Self. To befriend or even want to make love to our Self. But we are taught to prioritize getting our needs met and finding love outside of our Self. Whyyyyy?

I’ve asked myself… would I be in relationship with myself? If no, why not and what would make my answer become a yes? Would I make love to myself? Would I date myself? Would I hook up with myself? Would I marry myself? Would I romance myself? How can I ask of these relationships with others when I’ve neglected to learn to accept / embrace / nurture my own Self? Our Self is innately worthy. We are not perfect, we do not have to be completely healed or have it all in order to be worthy. We only need to turn towards our Self and say I want to love you — just as you are.

And this will absolutely impact the relationships you are in (sex, communication, compassion, meeting your own needs and also asking for what you do desire). And best of all, it will deepen your appreciation of YOU. Your relationship with your Self matters. I see you.

Good Faith Estimate: You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
