Our brains and bodies can perform miraculous feats to help us not feel pain and danger, physical or emotional.
Sometimes we feel ourselves fight, flight, fawn or freeze to feel removed from discomfort / danger / perceived danger. And when we no longer need these protective / defense mechanisms and walls because now we are safe… it may not feel so easy to come back to our Self or become our new Self. And that’s okay.
